Partnership announces annual   

coloring contest winners

   

Eleven entries were chosen as winners in the Pledge for Life Partnership’s Annual Coloring Contest co-sponsored by The Daily Journal and the Pledge for Life Partnership

The pre-event contest was held in conjunction with the Partnership’s 11th Annual Family Fun-a-thon held February 18 at Olivet Nazarene University.

Judges for the contest included Krissy Rhodes from Steuben Elementary School in Kankakee, Trixie Pankey from Manteno Elementary School in Manteno, Suzy Manahan from Iroquois West Upper Elementary School in Thawville, Kristopher Kimmel from Iroquois West Middle School in Onarga, and Don Keigher, principal of Gilman and Danforth Elementary schools.  Winners included:

 

Preschool - Kindergarten:  1st place – Broghan O’Connor of Maternity BVM School in Bourbonnais; 2nd place  McKenna Skyberg of Manteno Primary Schoo in Manteno; and 3rd place – Brianna Hanners of Watseka
            Preparatory School in Watseka.

      First – Third Grade:  1st place – Lauren Kee of Noel LeVasseur School in Bourbonnais ; 2nd place – Maggie 
      Goodman
of Maternity BVM School in Bourbonnais; and 3rd place –Taylor McTaggart of Gilman Elementary
       School in Gilman.

      Fourth – Sixth Grade:  1st place – Corinne O’Connor of Maternity BVM in Bourbonnais; 2nd place – Veja
      Pronite
of Iroquois West Upper Elementary in Thawville; and 3rd place – Ryan Grosso of St. George Elementary
      School in Bourbonnais. 

     Family Category:  1st place – The Virginia Baker Family of Momence and  2nd place – the Thomas Golden
     Family
of Momence.
